A Legacy Bright Space
On 6th September, the Balsam Family Project in Oxfordshire, England, became the fifth Bright Space in Europe. The Bright Space was created in memory of Liz Cross, a young, vibrant teacher at Mongewell Park Nursery who tragically died in a car accident in 2005. Over £7,000 was raised in order to open a Bright Space in her memory. Liz’s parents were pleased that the project honoring their daughter is supporting young, vulnerable children. “We were so impressed with the Balsam project that we are delighted to support it in this way, and believe that Lizy would have fully endorsed the project and would have volunteered her time.”
