Create a safe space for children in shelters to learn and grow.

Please take a second to vote for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children to win a $25,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project. The grant would go toward building three Bright Spaces for children in the Seattle area. You can vote once per day through the end of May.

A Legacy Bright Space

On 6th September, the Balsam Family Project in Oxfordshire, England, became the fifth Bright Space in Europe. The Bright Space was created in memory of Liz Cross, a young, vibrant teacher at Mongewell Park Nursery who tragically died in a car accident in 2005. Over £7,000 was raised in order to open a Bright Space in her memory. Liz’s parents were pleased that the project honoring their daughter is supporting young, vulnerable children. “We were so impressed with the Balsam project that we are delighted to support it in this way, and believe that Lizy would have fully endorsed the project and would have volunteered her time.”
