Funding Guidelines

 

Nonprofit organizations that are selected to receive grants by the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children must meet the following criteria:

  • The agency has 501(c)3 status from the IRS
  • The agency demonstrates Bright Horizons employee volunteerism
  • Priority will be given to agencies that serve a Bright Horizons community where a Bright Horizons child care center or school is located.

The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children generally does not fund the following:

  • Gifts to individuals
  • Colleges or universities
  • Religious organizations, except when the program sponsored by the organization is non-sectarian
  • Advertising for any purpose
  • Multi-year commitments
  • Fundraising and/or testimonial events, including tickets, silent auctions, dinners, raffles, etc.
  • Athletic teams, tournaments, or events
